Ingredients for Onion-Cheese Hash Browns

For the hash browns:

    1. 2 medium onions
    2. 50 grams of grated cheese
    3. 1 egg
    4. 1 tbsp sour cream
    5. Salt and pepper
    6. 3 tbsp flour

For the sauce: 

    1. 2 tbsp sour cream
    2. 1 tbsp mayo
    3. 1 tbsp ketchup
    4. 0,5 tbsp hot sauce
    5. 0,5 tbsp Worcester sauce
    6. Salt and pepper
Step-by-step preparation
Step 1. Prepare the sauce

Put all ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and mix.

Step 2. Slice the onions

Slice onions thinly.

Step 3. Combine ingredients

Put onions into a bowl and add all other ingredients.

Step 4. Mix and rest

Mix everything well with your hands and let rest for 5 minutes.

Step 5. Heat the pan

Heat up a pan with butter or lard.

Step 6. Cook the hash browns

Roast your onion hash browns 3 minutes per side on medium heat and serve with the sauce.

Step 7. Cool and serve

Let the hash browns cool down for 2-3 minutes and serve.
