Ingredients for Onion-Cheese Hash Browns
For the hash browns:
- 2 medium onions
- 50 grams of grated cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- Salt and pepper
- 3 tbsp flour
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 0,5 tbsp hot sauce
- 0,5 tbsp Worcester sauce
- Salt and pepper
Put all ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and mix.
Slice onions thinly.
Put onions into a bowl and add all other ingredients.
Mix everything well with your hands and let rest for 5 minutes.
Heat up a pan with butter or lard.
Roast your onion hash browns 3 minutes per side on medium heat and serve with the sauce.
Let the hash browns cool down for 2-3 minutes and serve.
