Cut in style with this chef's knife that does feel very nice in the hand
Achieve perfect cutting results with this robust chef’s knife. The handle, made from 100% FSC-certified Kotibé wood, is not only beautiful but also comfortable to use. Our knives are designed for strength and style, making them a responsible addition to any kitchen. Thanks to the 'upset forging' technique, the knives are forged from a single piece using a machine, ensuring a strong and durable construction. This process gives the knife a bolster, which is typically found only on hand-forged knives. Effortlessly cut through meat, fish, and vegetables, or use it to finely chop herbs!
A strong knife with high wear resistance
Do you know a lot about knives? Then you'd probably like to know the composition of the steel used. It is 4116 JFE steel. It has 14 to 15 per cent chromium in it. This ensures that your knife will never rust and increases its wear resistance. We also put in half a percent of carbon. This makes the steel extremely hard. Want to know more? Well go on then. There is 0.1 to 0.2 per cent vanadium in it. That's also good for hardness and wear resistance. In addition, that stuff makes for a smaller grain structure: your knife becomes tougher and retains its sharpness better. And finally, if you insist on knowing: 0.5 to 0.8 per cent molybdenum provides extra protection against rust. It also makes your knife stronger and resistant to temperature differences.
The perfect gift for parties and birthdays
This elegant Skottsberg chef's knife comes in a beautiful wooden storage box. So not only is this a knife you'll love to have yourself, you can also give it away as a great gift during parties and birthdays! Our advice here though is: are you giving a knife to someone else? Then always give a coin with it. In fact, there is a superstition when gifting a knife that if something happens, the giver is guilty. So let the recipient 'buy' the knife with the coin and you are rid of the superstition!
