Extremely sharp chef's knife: cuts with ease and pleasure
We have designed a chef's knife that will make your heart beat faster! No cutting task is impossible for this Skottsberg chef's knife. It is made of steel from Japan. There we found the very best steel producer for this particular metal. The sharpening angle of the blade is 28 degrees. Our chef's knife has a 20-centimetre blade, is an all-rounder and so sharp that you will never want to be without it. This is not only convenient, but also a lot safer because a blunt knife slips more quickly.
We have designed a chef's knife that will make your heart beat faster!
A strong knife, can take a beating and has high wear resistance
Do you know a lot about knives? Then you'd probably like to know the composition of the steel used. It is 4116 JFE steel. It has 14 to 15 per cent chromium in it. This ensures that your knife will never rust and increases its wear resistance. We also put in half a percent of carbon. This makes the steel extremely hard. Want to know more? Well go on then. There is 0.1 to 0.2 per cent vanadium in it. That's also good for hardness and wear resistance. In addition, that stuff makes for a smaller grain structure: your knife becomes tougher and retains its sharpness better. And finally, if you insist on knowing: 0.5 to 0.8 per cent molybdenum provides extra protection against rust. It also makes your knife stronger and resistant to temperature differences.
Cut in style with this super strong chef's knife
The handle is made from Kotibé wood (100% FSC-certified) and looks stunning. Like all our products, the knives are extremely strong and a stylish, responsible addition to your kitchen equipment. Thanks to the 'upset forging' technique, the knives are forged from one piece using a machine, which ensures an exceptionally strong and durable construction. This means the knife has a bolster, which is typically only found in hand-forged knives. Effortlessly slice through meat, fish, and vegetables, or use it to finely chop herbs!
Including wooden storage box: the perfect gift
This knife not only shines in the kitchen, but also in its wooden storage box. This makes the knife a perfect gift to give away for special occasions like birthdays or holidays. A tip from us: give a coin with it, as superstition says that the recipient then 'buys' the knife, so you as the giver are not to blame if something happens with the knife.
