The ultimate santoku knife is indispensable in every kitchen
A cook without a santoku knife is like a car without wheels. With this knife, you can really go all out in the kitchen. Santuko means 'three virtues', because its primary purpose is to do three things: slice, dice and chop. Skottsberg's santoku knife is so sharp you'll never want to be without it. It is not only convenient, but also a lot safer because a blunt knife slips more quickly.

Extremely sharp santoku knife: cuts with ease and pleasure
We have designed a santo knife that will make your heart beat faster! No cutting task is impossible for this Skottsberg knife. Our Skottsberg santoku knife is made of the best steel from Japan and is extremely sharp. The sharpening angle of the blade is 26 degrees. Do you know a lot about knives? Then you'd probably like to know the composition of the steel used. It is 4116 JFE steel. It has 14 to 15 per cent chromium in it. This ensures that your knife will never rust and increases its wear resistance. We also put in half a percent of carbon. That makes the steel extremely hard.
More to know? It contains 0.1 to 0.2 per cent vanadium. That's also good for hardness and wear resistance. Also, that stuff makes for a smaller grain structure: your knife becomes tougher and retains its sharpness better. And finally, if you insist on knowing: 0.5 to 0.8 per cent molybdenum provides extra protection against rust. It also makes your knife stronger and resistant to temperature differences.
Cut in style with this super strong santoku knife
Slice with precision and style with this powerful santoku knife. The handle is made from 100% FSC-certified Kotibé wood and has a stunning appearance. Like all our products, this knife is both strong and stylish, making it a responsible choice for your kitchen. Thanks to the 'upset forging' technique, the knife is forged from one piece using a machine, ensuring an exceptionally strong and durable construction. This results in a knife with a bolster, which is typically only found in hand-forged knives. Effortlessly cut through meat, fish, and vegetables, or use it to finely chop herbs!
Very efficient cutting
The santoku knife is less pointed and has a straight blade edge compared to our chef's knives. This allows you to cut very efficiently with a downward cutting motion accompanied by a small push and pull.
The perfect present with the wooden storage box
This elegant Skottsberg santoku knife comes in a beautiful wooden storage box. This makes it not only the ideal kitchen helper, but also the perfect gift for during parties and birthdays. But beware, don't just give this knife away. This is because the superstition around giving away knives is that if something happens to the knife which is given, the giver is guilty. Therefore, always give a coin, let the recipient 'pay' for the knife with this and you are rid of all superstitions!
